How To Use The GTS (Global Trade Station) in Pokemon
If you liked this video, subscribe! There will be more like this on the way and lots of other cool and awesome stuff!
I am using Pokemon Diamond for my example since it focuses only on the trading aspect.
Platinum has a bunch more bells, whistles and doodads but for the most part I've noticed that a lot of people are still using D/P since they cannot afford or purchase Platinum at thise time.
It's the same thing in Platinum, just just have to walk forward further. The GTS is on the first floor. Don't take any of the Warp Panels unless you want to do the other stuff like Vs. Recorder, etc.
SO! ANYWAY!
I am going to teach you how to use the GTS. It confuses some people, and some just don't understand how it works.
It's quite simple really, but it helps if you have a giant number of Pokemon SEEN. If you've seen a Pokemon, like Skorupi, you can search for it, or put a Pokemon on Offer asking for the Pokemon you want.
If you want a Pokemon you haven't seen, such as Squirtle, you're out of luck.
Anyway, I run over the basics of finding a Pokemon, offering a Pokemon, and trading a Pokemon using the GTS.
Also, you can use the big Globe over there in the GTS Lobby to set your location and see areas where people live that you've traded with.
This isn't necessary, which is why I cut it from the video to save time and file size.
It's still an interesting option and you should check it out anyway.
This is the only way you can obtain foreign Pokemon without trading with someone who has a foreign game directly.
Also, I'm pretty sure that Seaking is still on Offer lol. So if you want a Pokemon from GekkouKitsune that has an interesting name nonetheless, go take a Ditto and search for female Seaking! (pun not intended. Search, seeking, seaking..?)
CEO Amy Grat, International Trade Education Progrmas (ITEP)
CEO Amy Grat, International Trade Education Progrmas (ITEP)
Los Angeles, CA -- The Foreign Trade Association selected ITEP or International Trade Education Programs as its holiday charity for this year's luncheon and donated a check
for $500. But when CEO Amy Grat of ITEP went up to the podium to collect the check, some added holiday cheer overwhelmed her with two more donations. One from Comerica Bank for $2,500. Later from an anonymous donor for $5,000. This blog interviewed Grat shortly after the luncheon at the Grand Wilshire in Downtown Los Angeles.
ITEP brings the trade, transportation, and logistics industries to high schools, giving students a reason to learn — a promising future with brighter opportunities. Through ITEP, students improve their academic performance and graduate ready for entry level jobs, technical school and college.
We also talked to the new FTA Chairman Steve Pasienki, director customs, International customs for Toyota about the economy, FTA in 2011, and his observations about ITEP
ITEP believes that by connecting students to professional opportunities in the trade, transportation and logistics industry, schools will have a positive change in graduation rates, attendance rates and employment statistics after graduation. To accomplish these goals, ITEP focuses its efforts on the following challenges:
Target Problems:
• The scarcity of skilled entry-level workers for maritime jobs
• Teens with little or no awareness of global issues
• Alarming high school dropout rates
ITEP's strategy focuses on four main aspects of academy programs:
• Core Courses
• Enrichment Curriculum
• Industry Electives
• Industry Certifications
By connecting industry leaders to these academy and curriculum enrichment programs, ITEP helps students better understand the importance of school - resulting in higher graduation rates, grade point averages, and self-esteem, leadership, and teamwork skills
