Visible Explosion at World Trade Center Before Collapse

Video Footage of Explosion Before Collapse
In this video, at about the 0:58 mark, a high-pressure explosion occurs in one of the Twin Towers, below the impact zone, while the building is still standing.

The International Center for 9/11 Studies has secured the release of hundreds of hours of video footage and tens of thousands of photographs used by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for its investigation of the collapse of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7. This material is being released to the Center under the Freedom of Information Act, in response to a lawsuit the Center filed against NIST.

The Center filed a FOIA Request with NIST on January 26, 2009, seeking production of "all of the photographs and videos collected, reviewed, cited or in any other way used by NIST during its investigation of the World Trade Center building collapses." Following several unsuccessful attempts to get NIST to even acknowledge receipt of the Request, the Center was forced to file a lawsuit on May 28, 2009. Shortly after the lawsuit was filed, the Request was assigned a reference number, and NIST began periodically releasing batches of responsive records. To date, the Center has received over 300 DVDs and several external hard disk drives that contain responsive records - more than 3 terabytes of data so far -- and NIST has indicated that additional records will be released in the future.

We are currently looking at the best ways to distribute these materials to interested researchers and journalists around the world. It has taken NIST more than 8 months so far to produce a partial archive of photographs and videos in their possession, but we hope to be more efficient in our efforts. Because of the huge volume of data, we are working on a wiki-style website to facilitate review and discussion of any interesting items that are discovered by researchers.

Justin Keogh, our Chief Technical Officer, is preparing the website and materials for release. The first batch of materials we are releasing is a group of video clips sent to us on an external hard disk drive labeled "NIST WTC Investigation Cumulus Video Clips." We believe NIST entered these clips into a searchable database called the Cumulus database, and used them as the basis for the investigation and reports. Researchers may be interested to see which video clips NIST determined were important to its investigation, and compare these clips to the raw footage we release at a later date. Justin will be posting more details about the data release in the next week or two. Any questions about the FOIA Request, lawsuit, or data release should be submitted via the Contact Us page at the Centers website: http://www.ic911studies.org/Contact_Us.html

Although the Center has extremely limited resources with which it can review this mountain of data, several interesting items have already been discovered. Below are five items the Center has uncovered so far. The items below have not been altered from the original provided by NIST, except in three cases where a short section of footage was extracted from a much longer video. Otherwise, no alterations have been made to the video or audio. For the best viewing experience, you should watch all of the videos below in the highest resolution available. We will supplement the list below in the coming days and weeks.

International trade conf. coming to US

For the first time, an international trade conference is coming to the U.S.

Parliamentary Conference on the WTO

http://www.wto.org/ 21-22.03.11

For the first time, the World Trade Organization hosted the Parliamentary Conference on the WTO.

This international gathering organised by the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU), one of the oldest international organisations based in Geneva, jointly with the European parliament, is an opportunity for legislators worldwide to overview and scrutinise international trade rules and the current Doha Round negotiations.

About 400 members of Parliament attended the conference with a view to engaging in an intense dialogue. They had the opportunity to speak to key WTO players, including many Ambassadors heavily involved in the conduct of the Doha negotiations. They interacted actively with the WTO General Council Chair, Ambasador Yonov Frederick Agah as well as the WTO Director General, Pascal Lamy.

This conference provided an opportunity for parliamentarians to deliver a strong and critical message of support to the current Doha negotiations.

World whistlers trade blows in US

Whistling is easy, "you just put your lips together and blow" Lauren Bacall told Humphrey Bogart in the 1940s film "To Have and Have Not".

But for some people whistling is a much more serious business.

How to make the most of international trade opportunities

From the website http://www.webchats.tv

An online guidance service to help Britains 150,000 international traders has been launched by businesslink.gov.uk. The new service, available at www.businesslink.gov.uk/internationaltrade will help traders understand the complexities of international trade, and assist thousands of others realise the benefits of trading with overseas markets.

Businesses in the UK are missing out on international trade opportunities because they do not fully understand how to operate in foreign markets according to government research. International trade is the natural step for companies looking to reach new customers but risks associated with new markets and over cautiousness are preventing many from taking the plunge.

So whats the key to getting your business into foreign markets? There is undoubtedly an element of risk and there are innumerable challenges from dealing with international paperwork, transactions, distributors and freights.

To help UK businesses looking to trade overseas, businesslink.gov.uk has launched the first phase of its International Trade Single Window project. It is the first and only place where UK businesses can access key government information they need for international trading. It aims to advise and support small businesses about a variety of issues including:

- What do I need to know to export to my target country?

- What are my duty and VAT liabilities when importing or exporting?

- Which customs procedures and reliefs can help me trade internationally?

- Which Incoterm (International Commercial Contract Term) should I use?

Jonathan Hollow, joins us live online on Wednesday 24th January at 1.30pm to tell us all about this new resource for small businesses

What is International Trade?

102 minutes that changed the world (9/11) Part 5

Early in the morning on September 11, 2001, nineteen hijackers took control of four commercial airliners en route to San Francisco and Los Angeles from Boston, Newark, and Washington, D.C. (Washington Dulles International Airport).[1] At 8:46 a.m., American Airlines Flight 11 was crashed into the World Trade Centers North Tower, followed by United Airlines Flight 175 which hit the South Tower at 9:03 a.m.[7][8] Another group of hijackers flew American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon at 9:37 a.m.[9] A fourth flight, United Airlines Flight 93, whose ultimate target was thought to be either the United States Capitol or White House, crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania at 10:03 a.m.[10][11]
During the hijacking of the airplanes, the hijackers used weapons to stab and/or kill aircraft pilots, flight attendants and passengers. Reports from phone callers from the planes indicated that knives were used by the hijackers to stab attendants and in at least one case, a passenger, during two of the hijackings.[12][13] Some passengers were able to make phone calls using the cabin airphone service and mobile phones,[14][15] and provide details, including that several hijackers were aboard each plane, that mace or other form of noxious chemical spray, such as tear gas or pepper spray was used, and that some people aboard had been stabbed.[16][17][18][19] The 9/11 Commission established that two of the hijackers had recently purchased Leatherman multi-function hand tools.[20] A flight attendant on Flight 11, a passenger on Flight 175, and passengers on Flight 93 mentioned that the hijackers had bombs, but one of the passengers also mentioned he thought the bombs were fake. No traces of explosives were found at the crash sites, and the 9/11 Commission believed the bombs were probably fake.[12]
On United Airlines Flight 93, black box recordings revealed that crew and passengers attempted to seize control of the plane from the hijackers after learning through phone calls that similarly hijacked planes had been crashed into buildings that morning.[21] According to the transcript of Flight 93s recorder, one of the hijackers gave the order to roll the plane once it became evident that they would lose control of the plane to the passengers.[22] Soon afterward, the aircraft crashed into a field near Shanksville in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, at 10:03:11 a.m. local time (14:03:11 UTC). Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, organiser of the attacks, mentioned in a 2002 interview with Yosri Fouda, an al Jazeera journalist, that Flight 93s target was the United States Capitol, which was given the code name "the Faculty of Law".[23]
Three buildings in the World Trade Center Complex collapsed due to structural failure on the day of the attack.[24] The south tower (2 WTC) fell at approximately 9:59 a.m., after burning for 56 minutes in a fire caused by the impact of United Airlines Flight 175.[24] The north tower (1 WTC) collapsed at 10:28 a.m., after burning for approximately 102 minutes.[24] When the north tower collapsed, debris heavily damaged the nearby 7 World Trade Center (7 WTC) building. Its structural integrity was further compromised by fires, and the building collapsed later in the day at 5:20 p.m.[25]
The attacks created widespread confusion among news organizations and air traffic controllers across the United States. All international civilian air traffic was banned from landing on US soil for three days.[26] Aircraft already in flight were either turned back or redirected to airports in Canada or Mexico. News sources aired unconfirmed and often contradictory reports throughout the day. One of the most prevalent of these reported that a car bomb had been detonated at the U.S. State Departments headquarters in Washington, D.C.[27] Soon after reporting for the first time on the Pentagon crash, CNN and other media also briefly reported that a fire had broken out on the Washington Mall.[28] Another report went out on the AP wire, claiming that a Delta Air Lines airliner—Flight 1989—had been hijacked. This report, too, turned out to be in error; the plane was briefly thought to represent a hijack risk, but it responded to controllers and landed safely in Cleveland, Ohio

Davos Annual Meeting 2005 - WTOs tenth Birthday

Is the WTOs Tenth Birthday Worth Celebrating?
When the World Trade Organization came into being in 1995, it was hailed as a major step in a 50-year process of promoting trade and growth by setting predictable and uniform trade rules. Ten years later:
1) What has the WTO achieved and what have its biggest disappointments been?
2) What are the main challenges that need to be addressed in the years to come?
3) Is the World Trade Organization equipped to fulfil its mission of trade liberalization and regulation in the context of its growing number of member states and an increasingly integrated global economy?

Giuliani Gets Exposed As Fraud by Firefighters

Giuliani Bungled Preparation in Years After 1993 Attack on Trade Center.

Critical failures by former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani before, during and after the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001, raise serious questions about his ability to be commander-in-chief.

In this thirteen minute documentary, fire fighters, fire officers and family members give dramatic testimony about Giulianis leadership failures. Their dramatic stories tell how Giuliani failed to provide the FDNY with radios that worked, which led to the deaths of 121 fire fighters inside the World Trade Centers North Tower because they were unable to hear orders to evacuate.

Fire fighters also point to Giulianis poor judgment in placing his emergency command center at 7 World Trade Center, a known terrorist target after the 1993 bombing.

This video documents the mayors lack of respect for the fallen when he called off the recovery effort at Ground Zero on Nov. 1, 2001, after $200 million in gold bullion was recovered.

"We produced this documentary because we need to make sure our members know Giulianis real record," said IAFF General President Harold Schaitberger.

"The UFA participated in this video to correct the myth that Rudy Giuliani has perpetrated on the American public," said Steve Cassidy, president of the Uniformed Firefighters Association of Greater New York, IAFF Local 94.

The Giuliani campaign defended the former mayors record by issuing a release that lists items he purchased for FDNY.

"But the campaign, with its response, has neglected to address the charges of failed leadership outlined in our documentary," President Schaitberger said.

"Purchasing equipment for a fire department doesnt qualify any mayor to be president," said Jack McDonnell, president of New York City Local 854, the Uniformed Fire Officers Association.

"If thats the litmus test for president of the United States, then most mayors in this country qualify for the job. Giuliani is running on his 9/11 record, and his 9/11 record is laced with failures in preparedness and response," McDonnell said.

The IAFF has not made an endorsement in the 2008 presidential election. Local 94 supported President George W. Bush in the 2004 election, while the IAFF
and Local 854 endorsed Sen. John Kerry.

The International Association of Fire Fighters, headquartered in Washington, DC, represents more than 280,000 full-time professional fire fighters and paramedics in every state in the United States and in Canada. More information is available at www.iaff.org and at www.rudy-urbanlegend.com.

9/11 CONSPIRACY: A CONTROLLED DEMOLITION DESTROYED THE WTC!!

Marvin P. Bush, the presidents younger brother, was a principal in a company called Securacom that provided security for the World Trade Center, United Airlines, and Dulles International Airport. The company was backed by KuwAm, a Kuwaiti-American investment firm on whose board Marvin Bush also served.
According to its present CEO, Barry McDaniel, the company had an ongoing contract to handle security at the World Trade Center "up to the day the buildings fell down."

The company lists as government clients "the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S Air force, and the Department of Justice," in projects that "often require state-of-the-art security solutions for classified or high-risk government sites."

Stratesec (Securacom) differs from other security companies which separate the function of consultant from that of service provider. The company defines itself as a "single-source" provider of "end-to-end" security services, including everything from diagnosis of existing systems to hiring subcontractors to installing video and electronic equipment. It also provides armored vehicles and security guards.

The Dulles Internation contract is another matter. Dulles is regarded as "absolutely a sensitive airport," according to security consultant Wayne Black, head of a Florida-based security firm, due to its location, size, and the number of international carriers it serves.

Black has not heard of Stratesec, but responds that for one company to handle security for both airports and airlines is somewhat unusual. It is also delicate for a security firm serving international facilities to be so interlinked with a foreign-owned company: "Somebody knew somebody," he suggested, or the contract would have been more closely scrutinized.

Heightened WTC Security Alert Had Just Been Lifted

The World Trade Center was destroyed just days after a heightened security alert was lifted at the landmark 110-story towers, security personnel said yesterday [September 11]. Daria Coard, 37, a guard at Tower One, said the security detail had been working 12-hour shifts for the past two weeks because of numerous phone threats. Doha Debacle: Whats Next for Global Commerce

Progress toward unfettered international commerce stumbled last week with the collapse of the World Trade Organizations Doha talks, a seven-year effort to establish new global trade rules.
